Somehow, Gus has managed to climb up to the rafters. This wouldn’t be so bad if he were just hanging out up there, having relatively safe hallucinations about being a tree frog or something.
Oh, no. He’s running around up there like a lunatic, and has been for a while, now. Somewhere, he’s even dug up a red, long-sleeved shirt (Bar probably gave it to him, in all actuality). For a man who’s usually about as active as a mushroom, he’s actually quite nimble up there.
“Warp drives at maximum, Cap’n!” he shouts in a flawless Linlithgow accent; which, in its own right, is quite impressive since he thinks that everyone from the British Isles is English.
He pauses just long enough to have a small coughing fit, and then he’s back at it. “But I dunnae think she can hold much longer!”

The door at Milliways appears and flies open in the same moment, Ben stumblin' through on his hands and knees, beyond the door nothing to be seen but screaming, whirling dust clouds. He grasps at the door with closed eyes, coughing, spitting dirt, finally manages to shut it against the wind and just leans there, panting, for a long moment.
Lodz's words echo in his head, you did that. He stopped the blizzard but that can't be true, that can't be, only God can control the weather (and only God can heal) so in the end he puts it out of his head hard, stands up and rubs dust out of his eyes.
Milliways.
He doesn't smile, exactly, but maybe there's a look of relief. And the door's still behind him, still there, but right now he don't want to go through. Instead, he stumbles to the bar leaving dirt wherever he steps (it's all over him, he's coated in it) coughs every now and again 'cause the goddamn dust's still settlin' in his lungs. Finally gets to a bar stool and sits, rests his head in his hands and says "I need a goddamn drink."
Bar gives him one but he doesn't drink just yet, just breathes, breathes and tries to get the sound of screaming wind out of his head. |

Beetle is, in a nutshell, a jerk.
Jordan Kennedy gets a burned copy of Beetle's favorite TV show, about women in prison. Apparently it's very...HBO'ed. The note with it says to use it in good health.
Squirrel will be given a gift basket of flea medication and furry porn. Just because he's like that.
Scarlet gets a collection of bath salts, because he doesn't know her well and she is the Devil. |

Penny doesn't have a lot of packages, though she does leave a few.
Guppy gets a guide to Autism for parents, and Alex gets a sea monkey set. No childhood is complete without sea monkeys.
Billy gets a hat, scarf, glove combo, a Christmas dinner delivered to his room, and an inspirational poster.
Al also gets a hat and scarf set.
Sam gets the first few pages of their rule book for Atton, with a post-it on top reading, "We should get to work soon!" |

So, Coreen's mun is a little late with the gifts. You can't fault her.
Coreen and Squirrel have brought a bounty of gifts:
Scarlet will be receiving a batch of Squirrel's home-made acorn cookies and a trashy romance novel entitled, The Tarnished Lady. Coreen just shrugged when he asked her to wrap it.
Amanda will be getting a potato launcher of her own, and a pair of skates.
Vicki will be receiving an extra-large tome of mythological creatures from Coreen's personal collection, with a note that if she needs supplies, come talk to her.
Tony and Edie get an throw, striped as Tony is, a '50s housewife-style apron with a strawberry embroidered on it, and a Mr. Beer microbrewery set. Not that either of them need the encouragement.
Tino is given a tin of organic puppy treats.
Beetle will be getting left-over a Doe/Faraday tee-shirt that has suspicious stains on it.
Guppy will be getting some of the supplies Coreen and Squirrel used to squirrel and mutant-proof their place, along with a handwritten guide to all of it.
Alex will be getting a plush squirrel.
Thirteen will be getting 100,000 Of The Multiverse's Dirtiest Jokes, and the game Operation, because well, sometimes, you just need a laugh.
Rachel will be getting a plush squirrel also.
Moist will be getting a big book on card tricks, and other bar tricks. Just in case.
Enzo gets a ramp for his skateboard.
Val von Doom gets a crocheted blanket in blue and gold, a plate of brownies made with Nutella, and a set of fingernail polishes.
Weyland gets a small vial that either contains ocean water or tears. It's hard to tell, but it's salt water. He may or may not get her reasoning behind it.
Al gets a copy of The Joy of Cooking, from way back when, with a few of Coreen's own recipes in there too.
Hedwig gets her next beer on Coreen, a book on divination, and glitter. Oh yeah.

While she was in the Bar, Elle had rarely really wanted to leave for her world. As time went on, she often actively avoided going back, until she couldn't wait any longer.
That hadn't been the case this time. Elle may have taken her time packing her things and developing a plan, but she didn't dread returning to her world. She wasn't looking forward to it exactly, either, but felt no desire to put it off by hanging around, practicing more, planning more, or even ordering one last cup of coffee. She comes down into the bar after getting some sleep, her recently packed duffel bag slung over her shoulder. At first, it seems she's heading straight for the door – but instead she halts, and turns sharply, moving to the Bar instead.
Just one coffee is tempting, but instead, she asks for a piece of paper and a pen. When these appear, she glances around the room, as though worried someone will see what she's doing, then uses one hand to hold down the paper before scribbling something very quickly across it.

The moment the note and pen have disappeared again, Elle turns on her heel, and heads to the door, without so much as a last look back.

Enzo is sitting on a sofa by the fire this evening, wearing a somewhat incongruous woolly hat. It's not like he needs it in his natural form, but it's kind of comfy, and it actually keeps some of the fire's heat away from his brain.
There are a few wrapped boxes at his feet. Christmas may technically be over, but some people were busy at home (as they should be) on the holiday itself. He'll leave their gifts with Bar if he needs to, but it's always more fun to present in person.

Waiting for the portal to his world was getting frustrating.
There was Milliways' front door, though. Teasing him.
Haha, chickens can't open doors!
He didn't come in using the door, so who knows what was on the other side anyway. Might as well return to his home world the old fashioned way - the results are bound to be about the same.
Let's see, he thought, what can I do while I am away? Well, I can pick up those gold bars for Jordan. I am bound to bump into her sooner or later. And something that reeks of Zarosian magicks for security. That isn't going to be fun. Oh!

It's the day after Christmas and all through the Bar...no, wait...that's not right.
Edie's standing around in what looks to be a very vintage dress (with the tiniest hint of lacy slip poking out from time to time), and her hair pinned up.
Tony has his old baseball jersey on (Number 12), and has a special guest in tow. Tino, their Pomeranian puppy. He, like most of his breed is yappy, but strangely adorable. It doesn't hurt that he still has his elf costume on from last night.

And with that, she leans back against the bar and alternates talking to her husband and her "baby".

I'm sorry that this has taken so long to get going but I'm hoping to use this break to actually make some progress on plotty things. |

Christmastime is always strange in Nottingham for there are too many empty places and few families can truly have a feast.
So in between spending time with Kate, Will has been out in the snow with the other men bringing food and blankets to those who are on the edges. There are fewer of them now in Nottingham but still too many.
When the door appears, Will gives a tired smile as he shakes the snow off his cloak and finds a seat by the fire with a big mug of mulled cider.
(OOC: Mun is having guests over for dinner but this is open for ages.)

Sirona is sitting at a table, with a mug of cocoa and a basket of baked goodies she is slowly making her way through, her little Sony Vaio open at something she is giggling at while reading.

The door opens, and a small dog scampers across the bar, yapping excitedly. He's followed by a frantic Tim, who can't quite seem to keep up with the animal. "Colin!" he calls desperately. "Colin, come back!" If he loses the dog again, Daisy will never forgive him. A little help, someone? |

Edie's got a list, and she's checked it twice, and is giving a few gifts (along with Tony) regardless.
Thirteen is given a sexy nurse's outfit, not because she is a nurse, but...because she's got the legs to pull it off. There's also a nice bottle of wine for her and her girlfriend, along with the Pirate Contessa ice cream.
Coreen and Squirrel receive a jar of condoms (cleverly labeled "Spring Stash" on the jar), a written offer to babysit whenever, and a coupon for a couple's massage. Though, whomever oils Squirrel up is going to be frustrated. There's also a sardonic note to Coreen tucked in an envelop along with a few white pills. Apparently Edie provided a way to knock Squirrel out if things get to be too much in the spring. Also, there is a bottle of A*Men cologne for Squirrel, since he apparently liked Tony's a lot.
Evan Fennel has himself a brand-spankin' new mini-Golden Suit Elvis outfit. He will be stylin' when he gets up.
Jordan Kennedy gets a carton of Desert Sunset with a drawn label of Jordan herself hanging out on a tank, pinup style in the desert. (Desert Sunset is a peyote-based ice cream, and thus clearly-labeled serving sizes.)
She also tucks some money in the fund for the children and the Bound, and leaves various ice creams for them as well (of course, these ice creams are not laced with anything stronger than chocolate). Sorta like putting change in the kettles back home.
